CSA Roundup

Recently, the Chemical Sources Association (CSA) held its first-ever Midwest roundtable event. Held at FONA International’s headquarters in Geneva, IL, the event attracted more than 100 registrants from around the world. This forum provided a unique opportunity for all creative, technical and purchasing people to participate in interactive tasting, sensory sessions and demonstrations with suppliers to the flavor and fragrance industries. In addition to nine 30-minute sessions, attendees had the chance to tour FONA International’s new facility. Here P&Fnow gives you a rundown of the companies and products that were featured.

Among the 20 companies participating in the roundtable, some companies had “themes” to their presentations. For example, Givaudan showed over 20 spice extracts for beverage applications, including cilantro extract, nutmeg extract, tamarind extract and clove extract. Fontarome Chemical Inc. demonstrated their heating and cooling agents in an interactive tasting involving increasing cool/heat intensities.
