The 2009 Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Annual Meeting & Food Expo was recently held in Anaheim, California. With attendance at about 14,500 (according to the organizers), the event featured a breakfast meeting of the Society of Flavor Chemists, featuring speaker Steven Witherly, who discussed the chemosensory impact on junk food preferences.
The IFT event returns to Chicago in 2010, July 17–21.
