The Fragrance Foundation has announced the schedule of events for its annual Fragrance Week, to be held October 16-20 in New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Fragrance Week activities are inspired by the interplay between fragrance and the senses, highlighting the essential role of fragrance in everyday life and are designed specifically for fragrance enthusiasts. Some highlights for New York City include:
- During the entire week, perfume bottle sculptures will be on display in the Trump Tower.
- Wednesday, October 18: Join Takasago Fragrances and Bacardi to experience how creative perfumery takes inspiration from the sensory worlds of food and beverage ("Temptations and Libations," Williams Sonoma)
- Wednesday, October 18: A culinary experience featuring a five-course dinner and a presentation relating how creative perfumery draws inspiration from the similar notes and accords found in food and beverage. Featuring chef Marcus Samuelsson and Quest International perfumer Stephen Nilsen. ("A Gourmand Experience," Aquavit)
