The Fragrance Foundation has announced the commencement of the 2008–2009 online Certification Program for Fragrance Sales Specialists. The program is offered twice a year, in the fall and spring. Registration for the fall session is open now through Oct. 31, 2008. The online examination can be taken from Oct. 1–31. The spring session starts Feb. 1, 2009 and runs through April 30.
The program is designed to allow fragrance sales specialists to further enhance the customer experience and ultimately increase fragrance sales. Additionally, the program helps create an optimal and professional standard of knowledge, sales technique and personal skills in the fragrance market. In order to enroll, the applicant must agree to the program guidelines and be recommended by a supervisor, retailer or vendor. All applicants who pass the exam will earn the title of Certified Fragrance Sales Specialist, receive a C.F.S.S. certificate and the C.F.S.S. insignia pin.
