2014 WPC Expo: Focus on Ingredients, Formulation, Services and More

The 2014 World Perfumery Congress will feature an expansive exhibition of ingredient and fragrance manufacturers, equipment suppliers, service providers and more. Dozens of exhibitors have already been announced, including numerous first-time participants.

Conference & New Speakers

The 2014 World Perfumery Congress, presented by the American Society of Perfumers and produced by Perfumer & Flavorist, will feature a diverse range of industry thought leaders.

This week's most recently announced speaker is Claus Noppeney, who will speak about "New Scents in Action: the Potential of Organizational Research for Perfumery." His presentation will include some recent approaches to perfumery, its potential and how the industry can benefit from this research. 

Noppeney has been a professor at Bern since 2009. In his research, he explores the role of the senses (e.g., smell) for organizing practices. The field of perfumery is also the context of his two recent research projects funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. Noppeney studied economics, philosophy and sociology at the University of St. Gallen, the University of Constance, Duke University and Harvard University.
