The Fragrance Foundation will bestow its hall of fame award upon Vera Wang at its annual FiFi Award ceremony May 20. Wang is being recognized for bringing "extraordinary ingenuity, dedication and inner resources to bear, not only on her company's success, but to the fragrance industry as a whole."
Rochelle Bloom, president of the Foundation, points to Wang's scents Sheer Veil, Pink and Flower Princess, as particular influences on the industry. "Throughout her career," says Bloom, "Vera has been recognized for her significant achievements in fashion and on behalf of the entire fragrance industry, we are honored to present her with the prestigious hall of fame award."
Of the honor, Wang says, "It has been such a privilege to dress women in the invisible accessory called fragrance. It creates such an emotional connection with both the woman and all who know her."
