Chem Sources, SFC Meeting Approaches

The Chemical Sources Association is holding its first meeting of the season, in conjunction with the Society of Flavor Chemists, on Wednesday, September 21 at the Sheraton Newark Airport in Newark, New Jersey. Chem Sources presentations at the meeting will include “Orange Oil Processing—Applied Technologies” from MCI Miritz Citrus International’s Pai Henzi and Tony Batcup and “Vanilla—Trying to Decipher What Consumers (Really) Want” from Mike Fasano of David Michael Flavors.

Additionally, the meeting with feature education from the SFC, with speakers including Dennis Kucharczyk, Steve Ruocco and Charles (Chuck) Manley and topics covering “Flavor Chemistry, Then and Now.” Also, following the meeting, there will be a cocktail hour and dinner, with dinner speaker Dolf DiRovira, president of Flavor Dynamics Inc. and chairperson of the Flavor Historical Society, presenting “The History of the Flavor Industry, Part 1.”
